Becoming a blood donor
Blood donation is a voluntary act, and we rely on members of the public for Research and Development purposes. Make a donation and
- help developing new treatments and thereby improving human lives
- make huge difference to the drug discovery research and make yourself feel proud
Are you willing to donate blood? It takes just 10 minutes (Location: Nottingham, Biocity Innovation building, Pennyfoot street, NG11GF). Please fill the donor enrolment form if you want to become a blood donor.
You will receive an amazon voucher (worth up to £40) to compensate your travel costs, time, and inconvenience in donating blood.
You cannot donate blood if:
- you are below 18 years of age or above 65 years of age
- you weigh less than 50kg (110 pounds)
- you have any medical problems like cancer, heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, anaemia, or any condition associated with blood loss.
- you think or tested positive for AIDS/HIV, HTLV or Syphilis, Hepatitis B or C and any other blood borne infectious diseases
- you had an organ transplant or have undergone surgical process in last 12 months or
- your received blood, platelets, plasma or any other blood products as treatment
- you think or have a sexual partner who is infected with hepatitis or HIV
- you, or may be, pregnant or recently given birth
- you are on anti-depressants or psychotic drugs medication
